CALL FOR HOSTS: Computers and Writing 2009 **Online**

The CCCC Committee on Computers in Composition and Communication (7Cs) invites all interested individuals and/or institutions to submit proposals to host Computers and Writing (C&W) 2009 Online.

Each year a separate, online conference is held to complement the C&W onsite conference. The 2009 onsite conference is being hosted by UC- Davis, who is interested in co-hosting the online conference with potential organizers. If you would like to propose to co-/host the C&W Online 2009 conference, please read below:

TIMELINE for 2009 PROPOSALS
+ Interested organizers contact committee chair to discuss interest:
April 6, 2008 (and f2f during CCCC)
+ 'Email of Intent' from interested organizers due to the Committee:
April 15, 2008
+ Application/Proposal Due: May 12, 2008
+ Organizers for Online Conference Announced: May 25, 2008.

STEPS FOR PROPOSING
****Please note that the timeline on the current Web site is in the process of being updated. Use the above timeline as your guide.***

1) Look over the criteria and application form at our Web site:
http://www.ncte.org/cccc/gov/committees/7cs/124035.htm. If you have questions, contact cball@ilstu.edu by April 6. (This step is optional; only necessary if you have questions about hosting and/ or the application process.)

2) Submit a statement of intent by sending an email to cball@ilstu.edu no later than April 15.

3) Complete your proposal and submit it to cball@ilstu.edu by May 12,
2008.

document or a webpage, which is the preferred method) can be found at

The 7Cs hopes to announce the online host during the Computers and
Writing conference.
